You’re Not Embarrassing — You’re Building

Let’s talk.
Not about your product. Not about your logo. Not about your website.
Let’s talk about you. And the way you’re holding yourself back.
So many people — maybe even you — have business ideas that could change their life. Products that are good. Services that are needed.
But still… you’re quiet.
You're afraid to post. Afraid someone from your old job will roll their eyes. Afraid your cousin will clown you in the group chat. Afraid someone will think you're “doing too much”.
Let me ask you this: Would you rather be judged or broke? No seriously. I want to know.
You see, I used to be that person. I worked crazy long hours and commuted across the world. (Okay not literally — but if you’ve ever stood on a delayed train, sprinted to catch a ferry, or the MTA cancels your bus… you get it.)
I’d cry in silence. Smile in meetings. Pretend I was okay. And at night? I'd whisper to myself: Why won’t my man retire me from this madness? Doesn’t he want to get a better job and take care of things so I could rest?
Whew. Sorry bae. I was irritable.
I was waiting on someone else to fix my life when really — it was me who needed to change.
The truth? I didn’t hate the downward spiral I was on bad enough to stop. Not until I nearly lost control of everything.
That’s when I realized…No one is coming. And I am NOT powerless.
So I got bold. I stopped being shy about the very thing that could change my life.
Now? I post my business on my social media. I send my flyers to my friends. I share my links like my rent depends on it — because it does.
I believe in myself enough to be seen.
So if you can gossip on the phone, scroll Instagram for hours, binge-watch shows, or refresh TikTok a hundred times a day...You can take 30 minutes to build your future. You can talk about your business. You can post it 100 times if you need to.
It's not embarrassing if you're making money. It’s only embarrassing if you let people who don’t pay your bills control your confidence.
Me? I’m not worried about who’s judging me for posting too much.
I’m focused on being the first billionaire in my family.
Focused on freedom. Focused on legacy.
And guess what? It started with one scary post…and then I did it again. And again. And now I can’t stop. Because I finally realize:
Being afraid doesn’t stop failure. But showing up anyway is how you win.
So the next time you hesitate to share your dream — remind yourself who’s watching. Not them. You.
And if you won’t bet on you, why should anybody else?
