I FINALLY DID IT…

I finally did it.
I told HR that I plan to resign ✋on the date that allows me to receive the PTO I earned. Because one thing I’ve learned on this journey is this: I will not leave money I worked for on the table. Planning is power.
Writing that message was nerve wracking. My hands were shaking a little. My heart was racing. And after I sent it, I genuinely wanted to hide under a rock and pretend I didn’t just press “send.” But I did. And even through the fear, I knew it was the right move.
Because I deserve better.
No more three hour commutes that steal my time, energy, and peace.
No more taking on extra work with no additional pay.
No more negative comments being shared about me with others but never said directly to me.
No more being denied a proper performance review while being told, secondhand, that I “wasn’t doing well.”
That chapter is closing.
This wasn’t an impulsive decision. It took time. It took patience. It took planning. And it took unlearning the belief that enduring discomfort was the same thing as being grateful. It’s not.
What’s ahead isn’t chaos. It’s CLARITY.
It’s intention.
It’s freedom.
This is exactly what I want for every QMJN member. You see? I didn’t quit impulsively or walk away with no plan. I worked on myself - my confidence, my self respect, my mindset. I took the time to plan my next steps and prepare for the future I actually want. I know what I want, and I know how to get it. Life is meant to be lived, not endured. And in most cases, the only thing standing in the way… is you.
Although it took longer than I ever imagined, it’s finally close. And for the first time in a long time, I’m not just relieved, I’m excited.
This is what Quit My Job Now stands for.
Not quitting recklessly.
Not burning bridges.
But choosing yourself with a plan.
Freedom is near. And this time, I’m ready for it.
God Bless!
